BlueView Pools
A Pool and Summer House at a Red-Brick House
A blue-mosaic pool with a counter-current jet, set in buff sandstone between a red-brick house and a summer house, with a pergola, raised planters and a new lawn.
The pool lies square between the house and the summer house, in a buff sandstone terrace that reaches to both. It is lined in mottled blue glass mosaic, with a wide flight of mosaic steps at one end and the slat cover recessed into a channel down the side.
A counter-current jet is set into the wall for swimming on the spot. The build photographs show the order of the work: the tiled shell finished and empty, the sandstone coping going down, bare ground where the lawn is now.
Around the pool are white rendered planters, a green steel pergola with seating under it and square stepping stones across the lawn, with the laurel hedge and the old cedar left as they were at the boundary.
