Loft Conversions
The extra bedroom, the guest suite, the quiet study is often already there, unused, above your head. A loft conversion is one of the least disruptive ways to add real space to a house, because most of the work happens in a part of the home you are not living in.
We take lofts on as part of how we work on whole houses: the structure, the insulation, the stairs, the light and the finishing that makes the room feel like it belongs rather than a box under the rafters. It is the same care we bring to every build, applied to the space you already own.
Good questions
Before you get in touch
Can any loft be converted?
Most can, but head height, the roof structure and the stairs all decide what is possible. We look at your loft first and tell you honestly whether it converts well, what it would take, and whether it is the right move for your house.
Is it really less disruptive than an extension?
Usually, yes. Much of the work is above your living space, and access can often be managed without taking the whole house apart. We still plan it around you and keep the mess contained.
Will I lose the space to a staircase?
A well-placed stair is the difference between a loft that works and one that feels like an afterthought. We plan the access as part of the design, not as something squeezed in at the end.
Do you handle the structural and building regulations side?
Yes. A loft is structural work and needs building control sign-off, and we coordinate the engineering and the approvals as part of the job.
